Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s (DEWA’s) Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2019 is the ideal platform to show the latest solutions and green innovations. WETEX 2019 is being held under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of DEWA.

It’s a perfect fit for companies, decision-makers, investors, buyers and interested parties from around the world to make deals, and review the latest solutions, as well as learn about current and future projects.

Under the umbrella of Green Week, the 21st WETEX will take place from 21-23 October 2019 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. WETEX coincides with the 4th Dubai Solar Show, which is part of the sixth Green Week.

The exhibition will showcase global green innovations in water, clean and renewable energy, environment, oil and gas fields. This is a unique platform for green solution suppliers and providers, investors and decision makers, from private and public sectors that helps nurture international interest in green innovations, supports a sustainable environment and the shift to a green economy. This is done by reducing carbon emissions that have a negative impact on our health, environment and development.

“We are organising the exhibition as a realisation of the directives of our wise leadership to promote sustainable development and a green economy in the UAE, and to achieve the UAE Centennial 2071 objectives of securing a happy future and a better life for future generations, making the UAE the best country in the world,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD&CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX.

“The exhibition takes place over three days and is a unique meeting opportunity for experts and specialists, solution providers, investors, and decision makers from the private and public sectors. It will feature a range of activities related to energy and water conservation, environmental protection, green buildings and the latest advanced solutions that aim to reduce carbon emissions, and increase investment opportunities in green innovations,” said Al Tayer.

The UAE is witnessing a growing demand for green technology solutions, especially in light of the new laws and the introduction of new standards for electrical devices set by the government, with the advantages being the reduction of the operational costs and of carbon emissions. The exhibition supports the government's approach by promoting green innovations and solutions.
